Grim - Surreal Poetry by Sam Freek

Grim

Go away with your HDR
Reflect the grimness of life
I can see your destinations
My coffee curdles
Restart your life like a crashed browser

Barrier that bounces off hardship
Hanging on the stench of trash
I feel elongated and hear laughter
You set aside problems
They don't interest me

Looking for a way to regain a place
My sanctuary is disconnected
Carpets from the 70's are worn
Searching for the conventional
Replacing my needs and wants

Don't call me, I will call you
Anti social reaches an all time high
But I've got friends
They like my 'gone fishing' photos
Joy in an unfulfilled sham

Dogs At My Heels - Surreal Poetry by Sam Freek

Dogs At My Heels

Been out in the rain too long
Followed by the obscene
I go to work on the wrong path
It's a pleasure to meet you
Listening to a masterpiece

We all rise up only to crash
Finding the numb amusing
Small yellow faces smile back
Dogs at my heels
I run and never look back

Last day of my holidays
After seven years
Shameless and wild
Things seem out of control
Hop on and enjoy the ride

Passages fill with the mundane
Trashy sensless and unlawful
Splashing about in the gutter
I see home and find a cat
Then everything grinds to a halt

Gathering of Energy - Surreal Poetry by Sam Freek

Gathering of Energy

Gather round and bring me some energy
Not in a can that leaves me sleepless
Sleepless and wired
Sleepless and wired
It's not for me but I keep ignoring the truth
The truth I have turned my back on
Like pushing it to the back of a cupboard
Behind the tin of cooked mushrooms
That nobody wants

The flesh needs to recover
Needs time to heal
This is not the time for a journey alone
They don't seem to care
They don't seem to know
Where is this compassion?
Where is my soul?
Little energy
Slides away

Taking over me
Passing the supermarket of memories
Can I multiple purchase the good ones?
The shop seems full
Full of people bumping into each other
No smiles
Or kindness
Just slow dancing in the aisles
Looking into mirrorless souls

The Cell Block Interchange of Wobbly Bardot - Surreal Poetry by Sam Freek

The Cell Block Interchange of Wobbly Bardot

I was invaded by old grandma perfume from the 19th floor of the west building
My toes curled like forgotten fridge ham
You talk too loud for my atomic ears
Off you trot to the dough making contraption
Lets hear you shake, rattle and click hips with my good neighbour
My pen is low on ink so I must buy more
You have nothing on me so give me my change before I call the cops
I was flying low
How low?
Low enough to see the cell block interchange of wobbly Bardot
My you are a lucky girl
I know

This poem is sponsored by Accurist
What are you, the speaking clock?
Dial a disc was needed to recuperate
I missed my cue and the tree fell silently
A row of muffin tops appeared before the magistrate
The numbers didn't add up so I left the airless grey room to swell
I've been decorating the walls with till receipts for over 2 years now
Could you stop playing the tiny harp on the back of the drunken shrimp please?

I shall wear nothing but spandex in Spring
The conveyor belt ground to a halt
All rise
I missed my lines by 3 minutes
Move over my dear I'm coming with you

My Little Teddy Bear - Surreal Poetry by Sam Freek

My Little Teddy Bear

I pulled you from the garden
My little teddy bear
I didn't really
You were stolen from Marks & Spencers

Almost Strangers - Surreal Short Story by Freek

 Almost Strangers

A: I've had my shoulders lowered to make my tits look pert.
B: It hasn't worked, pass me the cheese.
A: I thought you were allergic to cheese?
B: Don't stop at that, just tell me about the time you met Harry Ramsden in Leeds.
A: For most of my life I have always put my alarm clock back 20 minutes.
B: Nothing seems possible until the crazy diaries are read in pig Latin.
A: Get me my horse, I need to start a plan.
B: Can I just say that you look wonderful in that dress made from fly strips.
A: The light has made my eyes water and now my hair has grown.

B: Looking is believing and staring is reality made good.
A: This is not what I had in mind.
B: You cannot use that kind of language in here.
A: I would prefer to sit with my legs uncrossed and slumped in a Chesterfield.
B: Can't stand the woman.
A: Lift up and let me see what's underneath.
B: Have you quite finished playing battleships with an empty tea pot?
A: Hold me close and I'll sing you a song.

B: Never mind the day is almost over.
A: You can no longer hear the screeching of the train.
B: Become more alert and step inside the case that I carry.
A: Little does she know I have no time for her.
B: I cut all of the strings off and she still plays the cello.
A: Bitch has arrived so seal the lips and not the hips.
A: Since when has the church bell played "Popeye the sailor man".
C: Since it was an ice cream van. Here's your 99.

Tripped Into The 21st Century - Surreal Poetry by Sam Freek

 Tripped Into The 21st Century

Come on roll me over and spin the wheel
Destiny found you on the 14th floor next to the fire escape
Fine day for it shouted the prisoner from the cheese jail
The plant never stopped growing and neither did my left ear lobe
12 hundred million calories to burn off after eating the contents of 27 supermarkets
How many corner shops in Cleckhuddersfax?
Steamy windows in the side door from the overcooked potato that looked like Engelbert Humperdinck
You have seen all this a hundred times before in the nude

No I have not

He's behind you
This is not a Punch and Judy show for the masses
Wind your neck in before it gets trapped between the two buses on the way to Hebden Bridge
I grow the flakes of fortune in the steel blue bucket
If I can decide on a new birth year can it be 1962 please?
The cold weather brought smiles from a cat which liked to scratch itself on an inverted Venus flytrap
Did I trip into the 21st century or was I pushed?
This poem was brought to you in association with the mighty bang
Find me a full stop which will create some sparkle in and around the swamp of cells

I have seen the past from the outside looking in and it needs shaking up
Dragged the day along by half a mile
Phoned the blase blah man who wanders around a lake singing yippee I ay
Scream to a wobbling halt
It's tea time said Francis

Icebergs and Turkey Necks - Surreal Poetry by Sam Freek

 Icebergs and Turkey Necks

You are under no obligation to read this
Please be aware that the tiny writing on the wall tapers at the end
Odd man out was the new film to watch with city dwellers
Dynamic skills saw rapid monetary growth
Each muscle twitched with excitement to the sound of pillow chatter
A mammoth revelation lay dormant until favour found the secret whistle

Tuesday night saw crispy duck and pancake playing hide and seek amongst the stars
The child with little worldly knowledge of how to keep up with tidy habits threw orange sticks
Move over, but little was done
Its all smoke and mirrors by the morning
Funny thing was....
What?
They were Gucci
But I am not from Italy
The air stewardess knew this and began having a tug of war with a fourteen foot long napkin

The shaving rash look caught on in the southern hemisphere
I read the Sunday papers backwards at 62 words per minute which could be a world record
The shag pile carpet moved along by 4 inch
I was vexed at the empty wall whilst hoping Martha could be seen with my x-ray specs on
Wandering around unassisted I soon became aware of my super powers

Murmurs filled the empty paper bag that arrived from Stone Chair
Not sure about this detox came into my head in a large speech bubble sprayed green
I felt the wobble from the side and became exposed

Mangle Man - Abstract Portrait art Print by Sam Freek
Hello World! HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all (shouted really loud). I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and time off work.  FYI ...I'm busting some moves at the moment as I'm listening to some old classic dance tunes that reminds me of the summer.

Anyways...what do you think of the art print above? Mangle Man is the title of this art print and it is available in lots of huge, mahoosive sizes. This art print can be posted fully tracked anywhere in this big old world of ours.

All art prints are printed onto premium photographic paper with a satin lustre finish. The satin lustre finish provides a very fine texture which helps reduce glare but which also provides a stunning deeper colour saturation along with striking intense blacks which is perfect for digital illustrations (as above).

If you would like a different size than is on my website (www.didgiwidgi.co.uk) then please feel free to contact me with the dimensions you would like.

Please feel free to contact me, Sam Freek - The Artist with any queries you may have about my artwork.

Have an amaze balls day peeps :-)
