Why Is It So - Contemporary Poetry

 Why Is It So

Why is it so
You always say no
Just go with the flow
Even though
Your name is not Mo
It's Simon

Then The Laughter Stopped - Poetry by Sam Freek

 Then The Laughter Stopped

Here is a phony invitation to the hollow cosmos
My existence became unaccounted for as I arrived late
101 reasons broke my back
Morning splendour poured into blinkered peepers
A donkey leapt out from behind a phone box wearing a boob tube
A train hurtled past as it churned out candy floss from its choo choo
The mirror was on the floor
Most people chose to fly that day
Scientists revealed nothing new
Rules of the game changed midway

My identity was stolen again for the second time
An unknown energy source was later revealed to be five robotic rabbits running on a treadmill
A blip fell into the ocean and caused a butterfly to panic
Too much information came into the conscious pipeline
There seemed to be no way out
I slid up the wall backwards (feet first)
The sale was on for forty days but continued for an extra week as no one was interested

Apologies came in advance with no back up
An open top bus failed to show up at 7.15am so I pogoed at a fast pace until I turned off
The early onslaught of celebratory products filled my vision
Everything made sense for the collective ignorance
Feelings were no longer contained
Then the laughter stopped

Moan - Poetry by Sam Freek

Moan

You moan
I moan
We all moan again
Then we all fall down
Because of strong winds

The Flying Po Po - Contemporary Poetry by Sam Freek

The Flying Po Po

The skull and cross bone
The chicken wing
The maitre d who loves to sing

The half read book
The secret date
The squeaky noise from a swinging gate

The swollen eyes
The broken key
The summer dance from a bumble bee

The empty cup
The white string vest
The discount vouchers are what I love the best

The flying po po
The mushroom farmer
The social network that's full of drama

The unknown caller
The twinkling star
The fading sound of a passing car

Life Goes On - Surreal Poetry by Sam Freek

Life Goes On

Once upon a long ago
It brought me zero, nothing, nada
I can't recall when but it did
Grey skies filled the blue reflection
Hollow feelings grew inside my chest
It became a forgotten memory
I played eye spy
Grandma lost her marbles and continually shook her head
Cracks appeared
A different perspective was requiredHow could I jump through the tiny hoop?
Which direction is the way back?
Nancy drew a picture of her screwed up face
Motionless
Only a one way ticket was on offer
I don't buy into it
Always looking for coincidences
Half price
Two steps forward
I'm near the end of the queue
Smudged lipstick
Happy hour starts at 6
Black mould
An unplayed conversation
Life goes on

Carpet Burn - Surreal Poetry by Sam Freek

Carpet Burn

Our world moved in double time to the sound of bottle banks being filled with the numbness from the weekend
Mr Half Heart asked me if I was all there and I blew the dust away
The alcoholic bubble in the park told me of another world inside the body of a nearby guitar with only one string
A symphony of ring tones filled the early morning lull
Pass the parcel was played with a grumpy face
A protection racket had been set up by a woman whose family tree could be traced back to a molehill by Batley Beck

Off fell my left hand as my head expanded from the big reflections
A giant tumbleweed rolled through town then rolled back again and didn't move until 29th December
My skin was no longer waterproof as I soaked up all the rain and fell to the ground with a thud
A tiny tapping at the window made the film reel spin around 72 times
Tennis balls shot out from the loud mouth who had a lazy eye at the back of his head
Our heads knotted together as we slid down the stairs backwards which gave me a carpet burn in the shape of Italy

Then all was forgotten as I noticed the food was out of date

Close up of abstract wall art
Good Morning/Afternoon/Night people of the world! It's almost time for my dinner over here in windy England which I'm grateful for as I could eat a horse and chase the jockey :-). This new abstract artwork I created has just been added to the wibbly wobbly website of mine (www.didgiwidgi.co.uk) where anybody from this big old world of ours can purchase. This new abstract artwork seems to have taken me months to create as I wasn't quite happy with it every time I thought I'd finished it, but now I could twang my braces against my chest if I had any on I'm that pleased with it :-D.

This abstract artwork has been digitally painted/drawn on my computer and then printed onto quality canvas before being hand mounted onto 1.5 inch stretcher bars. I like to use 1.5 inch stretcher bars as they make the artwork jump from the wall and slap you about the face until you stand back in amazement at it, yes it really does that. Once this artwork has been printed and mounted onto stretcher bars a fine coating of varnish is applied to protect the artwork and to also highlight the bright, loud colours just that little bit more.

So basically this is a statement piece of art....it pops off the wall and slaps you in the face (gently obviously) and if you don't take notice it tickles you.

This abstract wall art can be delivered anywhere in this world of ours, yep, all safe and snug in carefully packaged box. If you have any questions regarding this artwork or any other works of art you have seen on my website (another plug - www.didgiwidgi.co.uk) then please feel free to contact me, Sam Freek - The Artist.
Have an amazing day people and I hope that mouth of yours is smiling from ear to ear :-).

Creep - Surreal Poetry by Sam Freek

 Creep

May I have your attention
This may not seem clear
How long does it take to go from there to here?

Come closer my dear
For I am a creep
I will rattle your brain whilst you try to sleep

The SMile Thief Strikes Again by Sam Freek - Contemporary black and white drawing by Sam Freek
The Smile Thief Strikes Again by Sam Freek - Art Drawing
Hello peeps of the world! Thought |I would share with you these two art drawings that have just been added to the wibbly wobbly website (www.didgiwidgi.co.uk).  I also thought I would share with you what I'm eating for my dinner and all I can say is that its a good job I'm hungry as its not very appetising  :-D. Today I am having roast vegetable cous cous with paprika roasted chick peas, quorn chicken pieces and lashings of some home made hummus. A quick and easy meal which will hopefully give me all the energy I need whilst at the gym later today. But as a treat I am having two home made peanut cups which are the healthy version (made from coconut oil) they are yum, yum tickle my bum gorgeous, the recipe is on my pinterest board here - Peanut Cups Recipe

When the neighbour comes round for a cuppa tea I hide them as I want them all to myself ha ha ha :-D.

So back to the art drawings which are of a Rainbow Monster which you may or may not have seen loitering around when its raining and the other drawing is of a thief which steals peoples smiles, this person usually turns up when you are least expecting it and shouts "wobble gobble doo" in your face before stealing your smile. You can buy "The Smile Thief strikes Again" art drawing online in my cyber art gallery :-) *wolf whistles at the cyber art gallery because it sounds posh and trendy*.

If you have any questions about my artwork or then please feel free to contact me, Sam Freek - The Artist (not formerly know as Prince).
