Consuming The Elements - Abstract Canvas Art

Consuming The Elements - Abstract Canvas Art

Consuming The Elements by Sam Freek

This expressive unique abstract canvas art print was created by overlaying a number of photographs of discarded items and then digitally manipulating the photos using blocks of vibrant colours. A variety of retro comic tones have been used to reflect the antiquated subject matter in the art work which unites the piece. From twists and turns to bends and folds there is plenty of movement and with each element working together to create an explosion of passionate energy this collaboration reincarnates them into an outstanding piece of original art.

This limited edition, square abstract canvas art print is giclee printed onto high quality canvas before being hand mounted and wrapped onto 1.5 inch stretcher bars, a fine layer of varnish is also added to each print to highlight the artwork and to add extra protection. Various sizes are available to buy online with custom sizes of up to 78 inch available (premium bars) and all my artwork can be delivered anywhere in the world. If you have any questions about this canvas art or any other artwork on the website please feel free to contact me (Sam Freek).

Squandering Fragments - Abstract Canvas Art

Squandering Fragments by Sam Freek
This is an abstract canvas art print created from numerous overlaid photographs of disregarded metal objects that have been digitally enhanced using blocks of colour to create a vibrant and expressive piece of art. As you gaze around the piece what draws you in is that the arrangement is awash with a variety of unfamiliar, irregular objects that appear to clash and bring about a chaos which forces you to step back from the art work only to then realise that the discord brings about a resounding rhythm that unifies the piece. The piece encapsulates chaos and reclaims it as a captivating work of art.

This limited edition, square abstract canvas art print is giclee printed onto high quality canvas before being hand mounted and wrapped onto 1.5 inch stretcher bars, a fine layer of varnish is also added to each print to highlight the artwork and to add extra protection. Adequately Detached by Sam Freek
This abstract, landscape canvas art print has been created using a digitally manipulated photograph of random metal formations. Various soothing blues that are emphasised by a contrasting stark white which creates a calming effect. The shadows have been stripped of this canvas print which creates a unity in the composition of the folds, creases and twists of the metal that brings about a mesmerising work of art in a seemingly subliminal way. This captivating art work is a representation of when removing discord from our life that we are often left with an extraordinary harmony that was surprisingly there all along but we were just too preoccupied by our cognitive dissonance to see it.

This limited edition, landscape abstract canvas art print is giclee printed onto high quality canvas before being hand mounted and wrapped onto 1.5 inch stretcher bars, a fine layer of varnish is also added to each print to highlight the artwork and to add extra protection. Various sizes are available to buy online with custom sizes of up to 78 inch available (premium bars) and all my artwork can be delivered anywhere in the world. Shanty Shops - Urban Photography
Busy town centres seem to be a thing of the past now and so does the pride that went into the upkeep of the shops. Having worked in town I can remember having to polish the brass work outside the shop every morning along with sweeping and washing down the path outside too, but these one time proudly owned business outlets have now been replaced with shanty shops that sell fruit and vegetables outside next to the busy roads on the mucky pavement.

Undisturbed Mortality - Contemporary Wall Art

Undisturbed Mortality - Contemporary Wall Art

Undisturbed Mortality by Sam Freek

A large panoramic abstract canvas art print which has been created from a photograph I took and then digitally enhanced to show an abstract form of urban decay. The print is made up of the colours red, black, white, orange and brown with the orangey brown enhancing the character of the wood whilst thrusting forward the crooked striations and random distinguishing marks of sprayed on colour. The original photograph was taken in a run down part of a city where I seem to thrive on finding unique subject matters that have long been forgotten and then digitally enhanced adding my own unique style. The artwork signifies that out of the old decaying urban environment something new and contemporary can be reclaimed into a modern piece of art.
A truly unique accumulation of simple random markings that were unintentionally created and that have been converted into a contemporary piece of wall art which is rewarding to me as it means the urban decay is living on and can once again be looked at through appreciative eyes.

This panoramic limited edition canvas art print is giclee printed onto high quality canvas before being hand mounted and wrapped onto 1.5 inch stretcher bars, a fine layer of varnish is also added to each print to highlight the artwork and to add extra protection. Various sizes are available to buy online with custom sizes of up to 78 inch available (premium bars) and all my artwork can be delivered anywhere in the world. If Its Not Broke Don't Fix it - Photography

If It's Not Broke Don't Fix It - Contemporary Photography

I've recreated the look of the "torn wallpaper" that seemed to be in every household when I was a child which seemed to go hand in hand with mismatched second hand furniture. The saying "if its not broke don't fix it" was clearly in people minds and compared with the lifeless, "same shit different day", flat packed rooms of today these distinctive rooms were filled with character, Northern charm and usually a nice cup of tea with a biscuit.

It's Over Here - Contemporary Photography

It's Over Here - Contemporary Urban Photography

We need things pointing out to us sometimes and when I can't find something I end up erratically overlooking and then end up finding whatever I was looking for right underneath my nose. This red arrow reminded me of this kind of scenario and it made me chuckle because somebody felt the need to point out where the door bell is.

That Warm Fuzzy Feeling by Sam Freek

This canvas art print has been created using numerous layers of abstract urban photographs which have been graphically manipulated into sporadic segments of colour. Each one of these colourful building blocks presides as a representation of our past experiences which becomes the make up of our personality and thus creates an individuals unique identity.

The assortment of muted colours (black, white, orange/red, blue and green) that make up this art work are a portrayal of our distant memories that naturally fade overtime.

Each layer holds equal authority in the overall piece and works in unison as an historical consolidation which has then been reincarnated into what is an expressive and original abstract work of art.

This limited edition canvas art print is available as a large landscape, square or triptych and can be ordered in various sizes which can be delivered worldwide. If you have any questions about this canvas art or any other artwork on the website please feel free to contact me (Sam Freek).

Chinky Chips - Contemporary Photography

After I have been out and about taking photographs all day I sometimes treat myself to some gorgeous 'Chinky Chips' with curry sauce on and I sit on a nearby bench with a smile on my face and eat them all. I know when I see this lamp lit it means the takeaway is open and I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside as my stomach knows a treat is on its way.

Libertine by Sam Freek
This captivating, expressive piece of abstract art is made up of an array of warm and vivacious hues of orange, red, yellow, grey, black and white. As I gaze at this artwork it reminds me of sitting in a hotel room in the city and looking out through the window filled with streaming rain and how this weathered spectacle fractures the enchanting luminescence that bounces off the shadows of the hustle and bustle of urban life as day turns into night. This imaginary perception leaves me with a warm, uplifting feeling that that comes from the engaging energy that you find within the heart of city life.

Available in various large sizes as a landscape, square or triptych this canvas art print can be shipped anywhere in the world. If you have any questions regarding this canvas art or any other artwork on my website then please feel free to contact me (Sam Freek).

I Can't Drink Gin  - Contemporary Photography

A trip to Amsterdam and a quick visit to a bar to sample some of the Dutch alcoholic offerings meant I tried some of the local gin. Gin makes me ill, but the bar man offered me a free sample and so I drank it as I didn't want to be rude. Spent most of the next day feeling lousy and lounging about the hotel watching TV.

The impressive natural formation of the grain in the wood leaps out at you in this canvas print and is helped along by the random application of colour which intensifies the natural pattern of the historical data. A balance is yielded of the overall composition by the yellow and blue colours which compliment each whilst also helping to reincarnate the art work as a captivating 'primitive meets modern' piece of art.

Wreckless Times - Contemporary Abstract Wall Art

Wreckless Times by Sam Freek
Every time I create a new canvas print it becomes my favourite piece and this is my favourite at this moment in time. This random abstract style conjures up feelings of spontaneity that come from the expressive colours that jump across this piece in an anarchic manner. Unplanned and diverse this artwork discharges itself and seduces you in with its impulsive allure. It can be seen as a primitive form of urban abstract expressionism that is filled with striking bold colours along with muted tones that blend irrationally but are unified by the unplanned composition. This is a stylish, contemporary art piece that beckons you to rejoice in its emphatic originality.

This wall art is available as a large square, landscape or triptych in various sizes which can be delivered worldwide. If you have any questions regarding this wall art of any other art work on the web site please feel free to contact me (Sam Freek).

Keep Clear - Urban Photography

Keep Clear - Urban Photography

I like the symmetry and balance of this straight forward urban photograph along with the vivid yellow next to the coolness of the compelling blue. The most visually appealing and characteristic part of any city is usually on the outskirts and away from the carbon-copied high street shops. I tend to avoid these cloned areas of the high street as they suck the life out of me.
